Easter Will Be Here Before You Know It...

There is a lot to plan for when Easter comes...Church services, Easter outfits, new shoes, Spring cleaning, planning Easter dinner and an egg hunt. Then there's the really important stuff...buying the Easter candy. Peeps, chocolate bunnies, chocolate covered marshmallow rabbits, jelly beans, bubble gum eggs...and of course who can forget the little plastic chicken that poops out jelly beans or gum. My dentist adores Easter....I believe it's one of the holidays that personally put his kids through college.

I buy the Easter candy early so that I can get exactly what I want. However...since most of the candy is gone by the time I have to make baskets...I'm not sure that I'm being very efficient.

You understand...the dialogue goes something like this..." I can't imagine where that last chocolate marshmallow rabbit went...it was there yesterday...right next to the jelly bean gumballs...oh..those are gone too! "

I think that I better stick to Easter cards...at least they don't make me gain weight. Here's one for today...I'll post one or two Easter things every day or so until Easter.

Linnecards Card Ability Sketch Challenge 5...

Linnecards Card-Ability Sketch Challenge #5...my card. Two bunnies staring each other down...the winner gets to assist the real Easter Bunny in hiding eggs!

PS...I changed this card a little bit before I put it into my Etsy Shop...I thought it looked better after I put a matching flower under the buttons. (See the Etsy Display to the right...which way do you prefer it?)

Linnecards Card-Ability Sketch Challenge 4...

This is my card for Linnecard's Card-Ability Sketch Challenge number four...I'm not sure if this chicken is looking to sell a few eggs...or buy a few for an omelet!

Linnecard's CopyKat Challenge...

Marla's "CopyKat" Challenge was to choose an embellishment and try to recreate it yourself. I love the stitched flowers with buttons that Sassafrass Lass has....so I tried to make those. Only one thing didn't turn out right...I forgot to stitch on the flowers BEFORE I glued the buttons on. Sigh...no stitching on my flowers...I'm a failure...but I still like the card. :)
I liked the little chick so much that I put her in my Etsy store....The Checkerd Rabbit

Linnecards "Somewhere In Time" Challenge

For Arlyn's "Somewhere In Time" Challenge...we had to chose old scrapbooking items from our stash and put them together with new items on our card or layout. I chose an old Heidi Grace Acrylic bunny and teamed it up with new glittered paper....great challenge. It was fun looking through my old stuff...you forget what you've got squirreled away in the closet.
P.S. Bad photo...I was tired when I took it. It looked good to me at 2 in the morning.

Linnecard's "Vertigo" Challenge...

Suzann's challenge was called "Vertigo".....we were to use circles or swirls on our challenge card or layout. I turned a few differently edged Nestibilities circles into a tree on my card for the "Vertigo" Challenge. The bird just happened to fly by and land.

Linnecards "Click" Challenge...

The Linnecards 4th Anniv. celebration is almost over....I have a couple more cards that I still want to make...but here are a few of the ones that I've finished.
This Easter card is for Marnie's "Click" Challenge...we had to go through the gallery, find a card or layout and do our version of it. I chose a card that Sharon had done for Marnie's birthday.

The Wearin' Of The Green.....

"Wearin' of the Green"....

These little Irish Sheep give new meaning to that phrase.

The sheep are made using the "Little Cloud" Odd Bird Planet stamp. Which you can find here.

A very green and happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone!

Week #3 Card-Ability Sketch Challenge At Linnecards

This is week three of the Linnecard's Card-Ability Sketch Challenge. I decided to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with it...and to use my new MS Lattice punch. I'm hooked on this punch...I want to put it on everything. :)

This Week........Challenge Two At Card-Ablity

This is Week #2 of the card sketch challenges at Linnecards Card-Ability. I used Sassafrass Lass paper for the background...and embossed (With my Cuttlebug) the dark brown cardstock that I used for the mailbox post. The only thing that I would have done differently on this card would be to make the mailbox more dimensional.

Just Wanted To Say "Hello"........

One More Perfectly Plumaged Birdie.....

A few days ago...I posted a birdie card made with the Odd Bird Planet Dancing Ladies Set. This is another card that I made at the same time....only with a much warmer color scheme. It wrecks this months' soft green color scheme for my blog....but I like to live on the wild side.
I think that these birdies look more like butterflies than birds...but they're definitely a mix of the two. What would you call them? BirdieFlys? ButterBirdies?
