Hawaii....

Yesterday I was working on some Hawaiian themed items for a special order. The whole time I worked on it...I kept humming "I am Hawaii....I am forever"...you know...that beautiful song? I kept picturing islands and beaches, tiki torches and luaus, sunshine, the ocean and friendly people. I thoroughly enjoyed myself...kind of like my own personal mini vacation. Now I hope I get another custom order....I've always wanted to go to Tahiti. Anyone want to order some Tahitian themed tags? Or a card? Please?

Are You A Fabric..aholic?

I am...I've always been a fabric hoarder. It's just like being a scrapbooking paper hoarder...only slightly softer. My scraproom has drawers and rubbermaid containers full of fabric.....Sigh...Lovely!

Today I found a site that lets you choose fabrics to look at by color.........then you can go to the Etsy shop and buy it. Even if you're not looking to buy....it's beautiful to see the fabrics in all their color ranges....I think this site would be good just to get ideas for color combinations and patterns for scrapbooking pages and cards.

Take a look at some of the color choices.....see what you think...let me know...I'll be sorting through my fabric stash. (And then later...my paper stash...I'm equally in love with both!)

It's Still Christmas In July......

And I'm still working on Christmas items...it's fun. I look out the window and it's 81 degrees outside; but in my scraproom "A Christmas Carol" is playing on television and the whole room is scattered with red and green scraps, snowmen and ornaments. There are no snowstorms, no hectic shopping, no worrying about what to get people...just the sound, color and feel of Christmas. ( Christmas in July is very nice!) Here are some tags I've been working on....a set of six with gold cording ties.

Christmas In July On Etsy....

OBP Cards...!

I had a great time in Tennessee this past weekend...traveling with Marnie and her little girls was wonderful, the town of Franklin is beautiful, Marnie's family( We stayed at their lovely home) was very welcoming...and the Sisiversary Crop (The reason we went to Tennessee) was really fun!

I love traveling...but when I get home my brain seems to go into slow motion. This time, when I got home....I forgot to upload the cards that I had done for OddBirdPlanet's June 2009 Special Deal. A great Special Deal...adorable stamps....and I liked the cards that I had done. Sigh!
